Content
1.
To consider the information provided in respect of
the options for the introduction of a boroughwide Article 4
direction (Houses in Multiple Occupation) as set out in this report
including Appendices.
2.
To approve the making of an immediate Article 4
Direction under the Town and Country (General Permitted
Development) (England) Order 2015 to remove the permitted
development rights for the change of the use from a building and
any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class C3
(dwellinghouse) of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes)
(Amendment) (England) Order to a use falling within Class C4
(Houses in Multiple Occupation) of that Order being development
comprised within class L(b) of Part 3 of Schedule 2 to the Town and
Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order
2015 (as amended). The Article 4 direction is included at Appendix
E to the report.

To approve the required notifications, as set out in
the report and the publication of a public notice as shown in
Appendix A to the report.
4.
To approve that officers prepare a further report to
be presented to a future Council meeting, following the
notification and consultation, of the immediate Article 4
direction, to seek approval as to whether or not to confirm this
immediate Article 4 direction.
