Reasons for recommendations

1.     
Marquees are required in order for Chorley Flower
Show to take place.

2.     
Entering into a contract for three years enables the
council to achieve best value and makes for more efficient
planning. The contract will be reviewed annually and should it be
determined that the event is no longer viable, we reserve the right
to terminate the contract.
 
Other
options considered and rejected
There is no indoor space at
Astley Park and therefore marquees are used to provide cover for
parts of the show that need it. Not having indoor space would
prevent the flower show from being delivered in Astley Park,
therefore there are no alternative options.
