Reasons for recommendations

1.     
A Council report on 15th July 2025 gave approval of
the budget for Westway Active Track (£450K excluding VAT),
the procurement strategy and evaluation criteria and delegated
contract award to Executive Member for Planning and
Development.  

2.     
To progress delivery of the project following key
stakeholder, Parish Council, Ward Member and public consultation
which has determined the site design and future user
groups.  The Active Track and car park
enhancement compliment the established sports hub facilities and
continue to upgrade the facility and provide an improved experience
for visitors and residents.
