Decision Made:

That the grant be approved.

Reasons for
decision:

1.
They currently run a Boarding Kennels and Cattery in
Charnock Richard, Chorley and have planning permission to construct
a new building alongside their current business, that will offer
Canine Hydrotherapy and Dog Grooming to existing customers and the
public, which will include Veterinary services and
Physiotherapists.

2.
They plan to be as sustainable as possible, with the
new building being fully insulated and having double glazed windows
and doors. They will be using a bank loan as well as their own
personal savings to fund this project. The grant funding will be
extremely beneficial as it will allow them to complete this project
to a high standard in a shorter time.

3.
The project involves building a canine hydrotherapy
pool. This facility is highly sought after and new to this location
and area. It will be used by the general public, vets & canine
physiotherapists.

4.
This will allow them to offer their services much
sooner, which according to primary research of vets in the area,
these facilities are in high demand as no one offers Hydrotherapy
in the Chorley district.

5.
Once the services are up and running this will
create several new job opportunities as the business will be
running seven days a week, with late night openings.

Other options considered
and rejected

6.
No other options were considered.
