Decision Made:
That the terms
reported below are accepted to enable the grant of a six year lease to Isentra Ltd.
That authority be
granted to accept the early surrender of the lease of Units A4 and
A5 to facilitate the transfer to C12 and C13.
That authority be
granted to issue instructions to the Director of Governance to
complete the legal formalities at the earliest opportunity.
That authority be
granted to the Director of Planning and Property to authorise any
variation to the terms subsequently proposed.
Reasons for recommendations:
To promote economic
growth.
Other options considered and rejected:
Not to proceed as
proposed would lead to a void, the council would forgo the
revenue.
Costs would be
incurred in maintaining and promoting the unit until another
occupier might be found.
The tenant might not
expand their business and so the economic benefit to the business
and the wider local economy would be lost.
