Reasons for
recommendation
The applications have been discussed in detail
at both Senior Management Team and Leader & Deputy Leader
Briefing. Most of these cases do not have any ongoing Council Tax
liability and appropriate concessions have already been awarded to
reduce the amount payable.
 
Each case has been considered on its own
merits to determine the circumstances outlined by the applicants
are not deemed exceptional. The recommendation is therefore to
refuse all the applications.
Other options considered and rejected
None. The policy on Council Tax Discounts and
Premiums sets out that premiums can only be waived in special
circumstances.
