That ‘the
contractor’ be appointed to undertake the Ackhurst Depot demolition, site clearance and
asbestos removal at an agreed contract sum. 
 
Reasons for
recommendations
 
The approved procurement and evaluation
process has been closely followed and ‘the contractor’
confirmed has the highest scoring bid on a price, quality and
social value basis.
 
Other options
considered and rejected
           
To not appoint ‘the contractor’.
This has been rejected due to the interdependencies with the
delivery of the Bengal Street residential developments.
