Cornwall Growth Board

Cornwall Growth Board is responsible for the shaping and decisions on Cornwall’s economic growth ambitions including the Cornwall Growth Strategy, investments and funding programmes and steering and directing the Local Plan on behalf of Cabinet. Supported by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum, which will maintain the voice of businesses at the heart of local democracy and empower the private sector to assist in determining regional priorities, the Council through the Growth Board will play a leading role in determining strategic direction for Cornwall’s distinctive, core and foundational sectors, provide governance for Cornwall Council’s own growth projects, oversee investment and funding programmes including for employment and skills and steer and endorse each gateway stage of the Local Plan development process. As a Committee of Cabinet, the Growth Board will discharge Executive functions.
