consider recommendations from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
Assessment Panel.

Content

The Chief Executive, in
Consultation with the Cabinet Member for Economy and Environment,
resolved to approve the award of funding to a project in the
district as outlined in Annex 1, having had regard to the
recommendations of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Assessment
Panel.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the Council to make
use of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding allocated to it by
Government and to approve projects which will help the Council to
deliver the outputs and outcomes set out in its UKSPF Local
Investment Plan.

Alternative options considered

The option not to approve the
funding was considered but ultimately rejected. It was determined
that there was no valid reason to deny the award, and doing so
could result in unspent allocated funds and failure to achieve the
