About

The Chief Officer Appointments Committee is responsible for appointing and dismissing the Council's Chief Executive and other Chief Officers. This committee, comprising nine elected Members including the Leader and Deputy Leader, also handles associated functions related to these senior roles as outlined in Section 112 of the Local Government Act 1972. The appointment of the Chief Executive requires final confirmation by the full Council.
