The Durham, Darlington and Teesside, Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby STP Joint Health Scrutiny Committee is responsible for scrutinising health services across the Durham, Darlington and Tees (DDT) area. It ensures that hospital services meet agreed clinical quality standards and national expectations as part of the Better Health Programme.
This committee, established under the Local Authority (Public Health, Health and Wellbeing Board and Health Scrutiny) Regulations 2013, comprises representatives from several local councils. It provides a forum for reviewing significant changes to health services and engaging with stakeholders and the public, including during consultation periods.
