General Licensing and Registration Committee

The General Licensing and Registration Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending policies related to various licensing and registration functions within County Durham.

This includes oversight of Hackney carriages and private hire vehicles, sex shops and cinemas, market and street trading, and zoos and dangerous wild animals. The committee also has a role in designating public places for alcohol consumption restrictions and in applying provisions of the Noise and Statutory Nuisance Act 1993.
