General Licensing and Registration Sub-Committee (2)

The General Licensing and Registration Sub-Committee (2) is responsible for carrying out the Council's licensing, registration, and regulatory duties in County Durham.

This includes making decisions on hackney carriages and private hire vehicles, market and street trading, and the licensing of zoos and dangerous wild animals. The sub-committee also has the power to designate public places for police powers related to alcohol consumption and can resolve to apply specific provisions of the Noise and Statutory Nuisance Act 1993 within the council's area.
