The
Council was successful in its bid for funding for SHAP Single
Homeless Accommodation Programme The programme has evolved from
original submission and the consequential delays have meant that
practical completion will be unachievable for the Merrington View,
Spennymoor site by March 2025. A variation of the Grant Funding
Agreement, Capital Firm Scheme Grant Figure is now required and DCC
will forfeit the 5% practical completion tranche in line with the
Grant Funding Agreement. It is anticipated that the project can
still be delivered within the project budget by utilising
contingencies and continuing to value engineer the
scheme.
