Delegated decision as per the constitution for
the Corporate Director to approve changes to the Welfare Assistance
Scheme for Daily Living Expenses to move away from a cash/voucher
based fulfilment approach and to operate on a referral to a food
bank and fuel bank for support with food and/or fuel, which would
be operated by our voluntary sector partners, who will be
subsidised to meet this demand. A small contingency provision and
arrangements will be retained for emergencies when the local food
banks cannot fulfil the DLE requirements.
