Summary

...to streamline the AAP funding approval process by delegating approval of smaller external grants and all internal applications to the Principal Partnership & Community Engagement Funding Officer, while maintaining higher-level approvals for larger external grants and removing the need for Head of Service approval for declarations of interest and re-approval after meeting additional funding conditions.

1.
That all external grant funding applications of less than
£10,000 and any internal applications regardless of amount
requested be checked and approved by the Principal Partnership
& Community Engagement Funding Officer as part of the appraisal
process, to prevent them being sent onwards to the Principal Area
Coordinators and avoiding duplication of effort in the approval
process.

2.
External applications over £10,000 would still be approved by
the Principal Co-ordinators and any over £20,000 would be
forwarded to the Head of Partnerships and Community Engagement for
approval.

3.
Removal of requirement for applications with a Declaration of
interest to be sent to HOS for approval.

4.
Removal of requirement for projects to be reapproved once
additional funding conditions have been met.
