Purpose

To procure the Contract for
Residential Short Breaks for Adults with a Learning Disability
and/or Autism, for West Cumbria, with Delegation to
Award.

Content

It is recommended that the Portfolio
Holder:
 
Give authority to commence a regulated
procurement exercise for an open procurement for the provision of
Short Breaks Service for Adults with a Learning Disability and/or
Autism in West Cumbria, commencing on 31 May 2025 for an initial
period of 15 months, with an optional extension of up to 12 months,
with an estimated maximum value of £1,096,666 (full term)
which includes a cost of £594,755 for the 15 months Contract,
including uplifts, and £501,911 for the potential 12-month
extension.
 
It is also recommended that the Portfolio
Holder delegates the power to award the Contract, following the
competitive process, to the Director of Adult Social Care and Housing.
