Award a contract to Nuphalt Group Ltd for two spray injection patching
machines (with operatives) to undertake patching and pothole
repairs in the southern half of Cumberland.

Reasons for the decision

To allow quick and efficient repair of
potholes and carriageway irregularities and allow the council to
react promptly to defects identified through inspections and
reports from the public.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option was not to procure
spray injection patching machine. But this would reduce the
council’s options to respond proactively to highway
defects.
