To extend the EY Strategic Partner Contract in
line with Legal advice in place for a small value extension under
PCR.

Reasons for the decision

To support capacity and capability in the
Homes and Money function that will be developed across Cumberland
Council to support the wider Prevention Service and embedding of
prevention across the council and in the community.

Alternative options considered

Not to extend – this would put at risk
the timescales to progress this piece of work, which is a corporate
and member priority linked to the development of the Prevention
Approach which has recently been approved by Joint Leadership
Team.
