To make an application to the Secretary of
State under Section 247 of the Town and Country  Planning Act 1990 to remove vehicular rights from
an area at the junction of Murray Road and Oxford Street in
Workington to carry out  public realm
amenity improvements and enhance pedestrian links.
 

Reasons for the decision

It is necessary to formalise vehicle
restrictions in order to realise the benefits of the public realm
amenity improvements and enhance pedestrian links being delivered
through the Workington Town Deal programme.
