The Chief Executive is recommended to:
Authorise permission to procure and award a
contract for the continued provision of an Income Management and
Payment System for the Allerdale service teams for a Three-year
term with a single period of + 2 year extension and a value of
circa £190,935.
Reasons for the decision
The current contract runs to the 30th
September 2025, with no options to extend. This procurement allows
the continuation of services for the departments until aggregation
of systems are addressed as part of a wider programme of works for
the council
Alternative options considered
A full open procurement exercise has been
considered, however, due to the wider system requirements, scale
and technical complexity of implementing a new system for this
service area as well as aggregation to create a single solution,
this is not achievable by 30th September 2025 when the current
contract ends.
