Decision

Permission to procure and award a contract for the continued provision of an Electronic Document and Records Management System for the Revenues and Benefits service and required upgrades/improvements for a three-year term with an optional 1 year extension and a value of circa £300,000.

Reasons for the decision

The current contract runs to the 1st September 2025, with no options to extend. This procurement allows the continuation of vital services for the Council until aggregation of systems are addressed as part of a wider programme of works for the council.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing, bring in-house and an open procurement exercise has been considered, but discounted on the basis that the Council requires service continuation from 1 September 2025.
