Purpose

Implementation of the extension
of the service and repair of specialised equipment contract between
Cumberland Council and Direct Healthcare Group Limited until 31
March 2027.
 

Reasons for the decision

The 12-month extension period was included in
the contract and will ensure specialised equipment can continue to
be serviced and repaired in line with LOLER and PUWER
regulations
 

Alternative options considered

Do not extend the contract – rejected as
it would mean that the end date would not align with other
equipment-based services
