Permission to procure and to delegate the
subsequent permission to award decision to the Director of
Sustainable Growth and Transport in full consultation with the
Portfolio Holder for contracts for the delivery of commercial bus
services within Cumberland Council (the Council). This is a
Portfolio Holder key decision in accordance with the constitution.
The contracts will be for a maximum of 1 year(s) with the option to
extend for a further 1 year(s) with a maximum spend of £2.5
over the awarded contracts.
 
The procurement will cover 13 number of routes
across the Cumberland Council area and it is anticipate that there
will be interest from a variety of local and national suppliers,
whom already have a local presence. It is not anticipated that all
of the routes will be awarded to the same operator.
