There have been two applications for Harker
Energy Enablement as part of the consented planning permissions to
extend the Harker Substation north of Carlisle. Minor amendments
are proposed under the Electricity Acts to enable undersailing to
facilitate the project.

Harker Energy Enablement. This section 37
application relates to additional works to tower AL68 and the
erection of two new smaller towers to form a duck under arrangement
to enable the new V route circuit to feed the AL route. This is to
the north east of Harker substation.

Harker Energy Enablement: This section 37
application relates to a short section of OHL on the V route from
tower V28 to the new substation planning application boundary,
which will be in place temporarily to divert the OHL to tower V27T
while tower V27R is installed. This is close to the border with
Scotland west of Glinger Burn.

Both applications have been considered against
environmental regulations under planning requirements and neither
project requires additional measures to be undertaken.

The local planning authority consents to the
works.
