This Key Decision Report describes some of the
work the Council undertakes to support the development of the
Social Enterprise sector in Cumberland and in Westmorland &
Furness in its role as the Accountable Body for Cumbria Social
Enterprise Partnership (CSEP). Approval is sought to undertake a
procurement process to establish a Framework to provide support
services to enable further social enterprise development activity
to take place.
 
It is estimated that the spend under the
Framework will be between £1 - £1.5m over a 4 year
term. The Framework will therefore be procured in accordance with
the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
 
It is also recommended that the Portfolio Holder
delegates authority to the Director of Public Health and
Communities to award the Framework Agreement and appoint the
successful providers ono the Framework following conclusion of the
procurement process.
