Changes to the following nominations made by Council on 13 April 2023:

Committees:

Police Crime and Fire Panel – removal of nominated substitutes

Staffing Committee Labour Nominations added:

Members – Brown (Chair), Semple, Southward, Williamson

Subs – Fryer, Harid, Quilter, Troughton

Vice Chair – Mitchelson

Joint Executive Committee:
Fryer (Co-Chair), Brown, Williamson, Cannon

Corporate Parenting Board – Perry, Mallinson, Stoddart

SACRE – Committee D Local Authority – Southward

Reasons for the decision

Make amendments to committee membership and outside representation under delegated authority.

Alternative options considered

To take any changes to full Council.

Risks

Not having appointments to Committees would inhibit decision making. Failure to adhere to the rules around political proportionality would mean that the Council was not operating according to the law and would open decisions to challenge.
