Purpose

It
is recommended that the Portfolio Holder approves and provides
permission to procure a 2-stage Design and Build (D&B) contract
to deliver highways and
placemaking schemes as part of Workington Gateway project, with
delegated authority to the Assistant Director, Programme Management
Office to award Stage 2 (Construction) if the detailed design meets
requirements and is within the available budget for the
project.
