Maryport Activity Centre to The Soft Brick Company Ltd.

Reasons for the decision

The Council requires the design and
installation of a new indoor adventure play facility within
Maryport Activity Centre and the Soft Brick Company Ltd have been
successful following open tendering of the contract
opportunity.

Alternative options considered

Not to proceed with award of the contract at
this stage, rejected on the grounds that it would potentially
result in the facility being incomplete at the point of re-opening
(of Maryport Activity Centre) and non-compliance with funding
deadlines.
