It is recommended that the Portfolio Holder
for Sustainable, Resilient and Connected Places grants permission
to commence the procurement exercise for the provision of garden
waste processing for the former Carlisle and Copeland areas over a
2.5-year term from 1 October 2024 at an anticipated cost of between
£500k and £600k per annum (circa total £1.5m) via
an open competition through the Chest.
 
And to delegate permission for the Director of
Place, Sustainable Growth and Transport to award the contract.
