Purpose
The Low Emission Vehicle
Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund is a £6.015m fund to Hertfordshire
County Council (HCC) to increase low-power charging infrastructure
around Hertfordshire. The Council’s involvement in the LEVI
fund requires signing a collaboration agreement with HCC which 1)
secures Dacorum approximately 10% of the overall Low Emission
Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund for Electric Vehicle charging
infrastructure, and 2) appoints procurement authority to HCC to
lead the project with Charge Point Operators

Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund is a £6.015m fund to
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) to increase low-power charging
infrastructure around Hertfordshire. The Council’s
involvement in the LEVI fund requires signing a collaboration
agreement with HCC which 1) secures Dacorum approximately 10% of

Operators.
Decision made and reasons: The PH
decision is to enter the collaboration agreement with HCC. The
reason for this decision is that it aligns with Dacorum Borough
Council’s goals in the Climate and Ecological Emergency and
the goal for Electric Vehicles in the Borough.
Reasons for the decision
The PH decision is to enter the collaboration
agreement with HCC. The reason for this decision is that it aligns
with Dacorum Borough Council’s goals in the Climate and
Ecological Emergency and the goal for Electric Vehicles in the
Borough.
Alternative options considered
The other option was to not enter the
partnership agreement with Hertfordshire County Council and not
take part in the LEVI Fund. This was rejected because it would
eliminate £740k of central government investment in on-street
charging infrastructure and leave Dacorum underserved with new
electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
