Decision
It is proposed that all Part 7
homelessness reviews be outsourced to RMG during the period of
maternity leave. The remaining duties of the Review, Insight and
Improvement Officer will be delegated to the Housing Options
Manager and Homeless Prevention Lead Officers.
This approach will safeguard the
quality and timeliness of the Part 7 review processes while
maintaining a high standard in the Officer’s remaining
responsibilities.
Outsourcing ensures service
resilience without overburdening the existing management
structure.
Part 6 reviews have been discussed
internally with Paul Hunt, Housing Needs Manager, Oliver Jackson,
Head of Service Housing operations and Duane Dyer Assistant
Director. We have explored options, however no external
organisations complete Part 6 housing reviews therefore we will
conduct these internally through senior officers, ensuring we meet
the legislation requirements.
Forecasted costs for Part 6
reviews to be carried out by internal Officers is £9360 for
the year, based on average of 6 Part 6 reviews monthly with
officers receiving £130 per review.
