Purpose

Reason:
The current interim manager took on the role of Head of Housing
Asset Management in December 22.
In September 2023, the Council went through a recruitment process
to appoint a permanent Head of Asset Management, which was
unsuccessful. The Council are now going through a new recruitment
process and are close to finalising the process. However, this will
take time meaning the current role will need to be extended by a
further 3 months to end of March 2024.
The total cost of the role will be:
Cost of role to date (December 22 to August 23) -
£139,460.00.
Remaining cost to current end date (September 23 to December 23) -
£56,000.00
Cost of 3 month extension - £42,000.00
TOTAL = £237,460.00

Decision

To approve the extension of the current
arrangements for the Interim Head of Asset Management for a 3-month
period from 1st January 2024 to the end of March 2024.
