That the Green
Waste subscription service be subject to a price freeze for 2025/26 services.

Reasons for the decision

There have been some
issues with the reliability and frequency of Green Waste collections since the
roll out of the new service model in June 2024. 
Calls have been made by some residents and Councillors for something to
be done by DCC to recognise these issues and give something back to customers
by way of an acknowledgement and an apology. 
There were a number of options considered at Cabinet including paying
back each with their own issues and complexities.  Through debate at Cabinet it was decided that
the simplest, fairest and most cost effective manner to show a gesture of
goodwill to residents who subscribe to this service was for the Waste Service
to absorb the increased operating and inflationary costs for 2025/26 and hold
the prices at their 2024/25 level for 12 months.
