Purpose

To confirm a replacement appointment of a
councillor to the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority (the Fire Authority).

 

A vacancy had arisen for Denbighshire County Council
to appoint a representative to the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority. In
line with the current political balance position the Labour, Independent, Plaid
Cymru and Conservative Groups are each entitled to 1 seat each on the Fire
Authority.

 

Accordingly, a member of the Conservative Group was
invited to be nominated to the vacant seat on the Fire Authority, and the
Conservative Group nominated Councillor Ann Davies, who has previous experience
of serving on the Fire Authority.

of the current Council unless a replacement appointment is made.
