RESOLVED that Cabinet approves –

 

(a)      the capital match funding
commitment of Denbighshire County Council to the Denbigh High School Project as
set out within paragraph 6.2 of the report funded by prudential borrowing, and
the revenue costs associated with the borrowing and the project which will need
to be refined over time and built into future iterations of the Council’s
Medium Term Financial Plan once the capital works are completed;

 

(b)      the submission of the
Strategic Outline Case (Appendix 1 to the report) for consideration by the
Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning investment panel in
January 2026;

 

(c)      proceeding in parallel
with the above the commencement of procurement (above £2m excluding VAT
threshold) to appoint a contractor for design and build of the scheme, and

 

(d)      confirms that it has read,
understood and taken account of the Well-being Impact Assessment (Appendix 1a
to the report) as part of its consideration.
