About
The Peninsula Transport Shadow Sub National Transport Body facilitates enhanced collaboration between partner authorities in the South West Peninsula and the Department for Transport. Its primary aim is to address the strategic investment needs and growth ambitions of the region by providing a unified platform for discussions on transport matters.
This body enables the government to engage with South West Peninsula authorities on strategic transport investment on a broader geographical scale, complementing existing transport authority work. It was established in Autumn 2018 and includes co-opted members from various key organisations such as Highways England, Network Rail, and LEPs.
