About
Dorset Council consists of all 82 members (Councillors).
Full Council is responsible for the adoption and approval of various documents including key plans and strategies of the Council that make up the “Policy Framework”. The Full Council meeting also sets the Council’s budget.
There are three types of council meeting:
• the annual meeting
• ordinary meetings
• extraordinary meetings
