About
The Cabinet, also known as the Executive, is responsible for the council's day-to-day decision-making. It proposes the budget and policy framework to the full Council for approval and implements executive decisions within that framework. The Cabinet handles all local authority functions not assigned to other committees, such as planning and licensing, which are managed separately. Decisions can be made collectively by the Cabinet, by the Council Leader, or delegated to individual Cabinet members or officers.
