Content
That, the Strategic Director, Housing and
Environment:
Authorised the procurement andaward of a
contract to a single contractor to provide servicing, maintenance,
reactive repairs and reactive FRA works on our Fire Alarms,
Automatic Opening Vents (AOV), Fire Dampers, Fire Shutters,
Sprinklers, Misting Systems, Intruder and Panic Alarms, CCTV,
Warden Call & Secondary Electrical Supplies.
Noted, that:
These works were being completed
under a short-term three-month contract with a maximum value of
£74,999 as multiple contracts have expired.
There would be TUPE to be considered during the tendering
process as although the main contract for fire alarms had expired,
there was an implied continuation of service as the previous
contractor had continued to deliver services outside of
contract.
There was a time sensitivity to
awarding these works as currently no contractors were in place to
deliver the above works under contract.
The commercial strategy was approved
by Joint Contracts Board (JCB) on 17th October
2023.
