About

The Audit and Governance Committee provides independent assurance on the Council's corporate governance. It assesses the effectiveness of anti-fraud and anti-corruption measures, examines financial and non-financial performance, and reviews risk management and control environments. The committee also independently reviews the authority's exposure to risks or events that could weaken its control environment. Its full responsibilities are detailed in the Council's constitution.
