The Planning Committee is responsible for considering and deciding on town and country planning and development control issues that are too contentious for delegated powers. While most planning matters are handled by the development manager, the committee reviews applications referred to it, potentially after a site inspection. Members of the public can address the committee to present their views on planning proposals before decisions are made, ensuring transparency in the council's decision-making process.
