About

The Audit and Governance Committee oversees the council's financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls. It reviews the effectiveness of anti-fraud and anti-corruption measures, and monitors actions taken in response to audit and inspection reports. The committee also approves internal audit strategies and plans, and scrutinises the council's budget, investment, and treasury management strategies. It provides assurance that governance systems are effective and that risks are properly managed, including oversight of commercial projects.
