About

The Human Resources Committee is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to the employment of council officers. This includes recruitment, retention, terms and conditions, and officer relations.

The committee also focuses on developing a diverse workforce representative of the community, learning and development to ensure officers have the skills for corporate priorities, and absence and performance management. It approves new HR policies, considers HR best practices, and oversees member training. Additionally, it acts as a steering group for health and safety matters, advising on compliance with regulations.
