About

The Standards Sub-Committee considers reports on alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct by councillors and co-opted members of East Hertfordshire Council and Town/Parish Councils.

It conducts hearings where the accused member can respond to investigation findings. Following a hearing, the sub-committee determines if a breach occurred and can decide to take no further action, or to impose a sanction or informal resolution. Written notice of the findings and reasons is provided to the member and complainant.
