Purpose

Council meeting 18th January 2023: Council
resolved that the following amounts from the East Herts UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural Prosperity Fund (RPF) be
agreed:

"up to £630,000 allocated from the UKSPF and up to
£236,421 from the RPF for delivery of town and village centre
improvements, and up to £287,000 from UKSPF and up to
£236,421 from RPF allocated to business support" and that
that decisions on spending be delegated to the Head of
Communications, Strategy and Policy acting in consultation with the
Executive Member for Planning and Growth.

Decision

That the following amounts are allocated as
grant payments for business support:

£43,824.96 to UK Network Services, Little Hadham, for
equipment and materials associated with moving premises and new
research and development facilities
£45,902.50 to the Black Horse Public House in Brent Pelham,
towards costs of creating new accommodation space to help diversify
income
£50,000 to Air Energy, Hertford, towards costs of relocating
and expanding research and development facilities

That the following amounts are awarded for town and village
support:

A contract for £3140 to Douglas Ltd for additional works
associated with the installation of 13 pieces of artwork in the
Northgate End Car Park lobby areas
£200 grant each for printed artworks for Northgate End to the
following individuals:
o Kathy Gales
o Gunta Andrews
o Julie Walker
o Julia Fonnereau
o Diane Scheffer
o Nicola Anthony
o Shveti Maini
o Amar Devsi
o Gabrielle Vickery

A contract for £59,920.80 to AECOM for undertaking a full
structural survey of Water Lane Hall
