Purpose

The tenant has a lease of the land to use as a
car park for the resident's association. The lease has expired and
the tenant would like to renew the lease. Renewing the lease will
maintain revenue for the council and allow the tenant to continue
to use the car park.

the existing tenant to continue to use the land as a resident's car
park

Option 1 - Renew the lease under the terms
agreed
Option 2 - Refuse consent for a new lease - the council does not
have sufficient grounds to refuse consent if the matter is referred
to court.
