Purpose

To renew the lease for an existing business tenancy and maintain and increase the revenue income for the Council.

Decision

The Head of Strategic Finance and Property, acting under delegated authority contained in paragraph 10.13.16 of Part 10 of the Council's Constitution, has decided to grant a new lease for 125 Cromwell Road, Ware to the existing tenant on the terms agreed.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Renew Lease as per agreed terms
Option 2 - Reject the agreed terms and refer the matter to court which would likely incur significant costs and may result in less favourable terms for the Council
