Purpose

Council meeting 18th January 2023: Council
resolved that the following amounts from the East Herts UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural Prosperity Fund (RPF) be
agreed: "Up to £287,000 from UKSPF and up to £236,421
from RPF allocated to business support" And that decisions on
spending be delegated to the Head of Communications, Strategy and
Policy acting in consultation with the Executive Member for
Planning and Growth

Decision

That the following amounts, totalling
£63,000 are allocated as grant payments:

A new premises grant of £3,000 to Needy Massage, to support
the costs of setting up new premises in Hertford
A new premises grant of £3,000 to My Vintage Market, to
support the costs of setting up new premises in Tewin
A new premises grant of £3,000 to Sweet Treat Concept, to
support costs of setting up new premises in Bishop’s
Stortford
A new premises grant of £3,000 to Now Training Ltd, to
support re-location to larger premises in Ware
A new premises grant of £1,000 to La Pizzeria and Kebab, to
support costs of setting up new premises in Stansted Abbots
A large business grant of £50,000 to Skill at Arms,
Sawbridgeworth, to support the costs of refurbishing disused
agricultural barns into new commercial units for letting
