The Lead Member for Adult Social Care and Health is authorised by the Cabinet to make specific decisions within their area of responsibility. These decisions are made at Individual Decision Making meetings, attended by council officers, and may also be attended by other councillors. The Lead Member is responsible for strategy and policy concerning all Adult Social Care and Public Health matters. This includes services for vulnerable adults such as older people, those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions, as well as public health, community safety, and the voluntary sector.
